Job Description

A government entity in Crestview is seeking a Training Coordinator to join their Human Resources Department. This position is expected to last at least through September 30, 2021 and could be extended for a longer assignment.  


You Enjoy:

*Developing, coordinating, and facilitating a variety of employee and manager training and development programs.

*Coordinating and assisting with the new employee orientation process including training and required paper work.

*Recommending new, revision of existing, drafts proposed HR policies, procedures and processes with concurrence of the Director.

*Assisting and advising mangers and supervisors on complying with federal and state employment laws and County policies as needed. Providing educational presentations and/or training on these topics to management.

*Identifying needs and coordinating efforts to improve department efficiency, including process improvement and automation.

*Preparing technical and administrative reports.

*Making recommendations for and interpreting laws, policies, rules, and regulations to supervisors, employees, and applicants.

*Planning, coordinating, and conducting employee training and development programs.

*Coordinating with the Director and other HR managers to manage the employee performance management system. Supporting management and employee education, goal-setting guidance, performance development, etc.

*Performing related work as required.


You Are: 

*Able to develop, coordinate, facilitate, and manage employee training and development programs.

*Able to work under tight deadlines and effectively manage multiple detailed tasks.

*Able to research problems, make sound decisions and develop alternative solutions.

*Able to express oneself clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

*Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with public officials, managers, employees, and the general public.


You Have:            

*Knowledge of Human Resource Management principles, techniques, and procedures with a specific focus on organizational development, talent acquisition, performance management, and employment law.

*Knowledge in planning, developing, and coordinating HR programs, projects, initiatives and events.

*Knowledge of computers and relevant software (MS Office).


Work Schedule and Compensation:

*Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with one hour for lunch.

*This position is full-time and pays $18.00/Hour.


Assignment Type:

This assignment is considered “Contract” and is expected to last at least until September 30, 2021, or will be determined by the client’s needs.
