GE Wind Energy plant in Pensacola is in need of full-time Forklift Operator/Material Handler to join their team. Check out the description below to see if this position sounds like a great fit for you!

You Are:

* Able to operate a forklift, pallet jack, jib crane and scissor lift

* Intuitive to what needs to be done

* Able to follow instructions

You Have:

* A high school diploma or GED

* Previous forklift experience

* Forklift certification preferred but not necessary

You Enjoy:

* Operating a forklift, pallet jack, jib crane and scissor lift.

* Promptly report any injury, near miss, or property damage.

* Inspecting the equipment and report any damage or concern for the equipment.

* Manage site logistics of approximately 2,000 pieces of material that arrive at the site each week.

* Verifying that the material matches the tag before storing in designated location or taking it to the requested workstation.

* Distributing material in a timely manner.

* Continually checking with the line they are servicing that day or the dock for product need or products that need to be stored.

* Monitoring kit locations, returning empty kits to queuing area and backfill with received kits from warehouse.

* When there is an issue, escalate those issues to the appropriate next level for assistance.

* Monitoring receiving queues for assigned items with receiving tickets. Relocate materials to lay-down area in yard.

* Fulfilling shop requisitions as assigned.

* Uncrating, cleaning, staging and repackaging material as required. Operate JIB cranes or hoists as required.

* Disassembling crates and segregate packaging materials and haul to appropriate waste stream on site.

* Operating compactor and wood chipper as needed to process waste.

Compensation and Schedule:

* This position is full-time and pays $13.00-$13.75 per hour.

* Days of work are Monday through Friday with weekends as needed

* Shifts are as follows: All shifts available

1st shift – 6:00am – 3:30pm
2nd shift – 2:00pm – 10:30pm
3rd shift - 10:00pm – 6:30am

* You are eligible for 7 paid holidays.

* Eligible for Salary review after 90 days

Assignment Type:

This assignment is considered a Contract assignment where the employee will stay on LandrumHR’s payroll through the entirety of the assignment.
