Job Description

Santa Rosa County is in need of a Temporary Landfill Equipment Operator II to join their team. The position will operate heavy equipment for the landfill and perform minor maintenance of assigned equipment and does manual labor tasks. You Enjoy:

*Operating and maintenance of landfill equipment

*Using graders, pans, draglines, bulldozers, backhoes, and compactors

*Operating smaller equipment such as lowboy, dump truck, and boom tractor

*Performing labor tasks

*Washing, cleaning, and giving routine first echelon maintenance to equipment

 *Working outdoors in varying adverse weather


You Are:

*Highly motivated and intuitive with what needs to be done

*Organized and have an eye for detail

*A team player with a positive attitude

You Have:

*High School Diploma or GED

*Two years’ experience in operation and maintenance of heavy equipment

*The ability to drive and operate medium and heavy construction equipment

*The ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to bend, stoop, and climb.

Compensation and Schedule

*This position is Full-Time and pays $14.67/hr. 

*Hours are from 6:30 am-5:00 pm  Monday-Saturday

*40-60 hours a week


Assignment Type:

This assignment is considered Contract and is expected to last 6-9 months or will be determined by the client’s needs.
