Job Description

A healthcare company in Pensacola is in need of full-time Temporary Medical Insurance Biller/Collector to join their team. This position consists of performing a variety of duties pertaining to billing and collection of all insurance payers, serving as the liaison between hospice clinical staff and insurance companies to resolve issues. You Enjoy:

*Billing and following up with commercial insurance carriers on all patients admitted to Covenant Hospice.

*Serving as the liaison between clinical personnel and insurance case managers.

*Being responsible for the accurate and timely billing and follow up.

*Requesting documentation/EMR corrections as needed.

*Documenting all encounters in a timely fashion in the EMR.

*Scanning and indexing Patient Financial Services documents.*Taking incoming calls from staff, patients, patient families, insurance companies, and facilities regarding billing, payment, insurance and other general questions.

*Being responsible for attending all team meetings and required educational in-services.

*Performing the duties of other Patient Financial Services employees as needed.

*Assisting in the training of other Patient Financial Services employees.

*Providing outstanding customer service to all.

*Performing additional duties, as assigned.


You Are:

*Well-spoken with a polite and courteous disposition.

*Highly motivated and intuitive with what needs to be done.

*Organized and have an eye for detail.

*A great listener with a positive, can-do attitude.

You Have:

*High School Diploma or GED.  

*One year experience in healthcare insurance billing is required.

*Excellent communication, negotiation and decision-making skills.  

Compensation and Schedule

*This position is full-time and pays $15.00/Hour.

*Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.


Assignment Type:


This assignment is considered “Contract” and is expected to last 3 months, or will be determined by the client’s needs.
