Job Description

A government entity near Eglin Airforce Base is seeking an Executive Assistant II to join their team! This is a long-term temporary assignment.



You Enjoy:

*Preparing, filing, and distributing memos, minutes, work orders, requisitions, reports, claim forms, manuals, correspondence, and other documents.

*Responding to incoming telephone calls; receiving the daily mail and assisting the public with questions, comments, and complaints.

*Activating, issuing, and recording parking permits for employees and customers.

*Preparing, updating, and/or maintaining various activity and production records, department invoices, databases, and/or related departmental records and files.

*Preparing and distributing reports, news releases, invoices, public service announcements, and other relevant materials.

*Maintaining the department calendar and arranging for scheduling of meetings, travel, and department functions.

*Maintaining the schedule for conference rooms and ensuring the rooms are properly set up prior to use.

*Coordinating events (scheduling, catering, etc.) and representing the company at off-site promotional events.

*Creating, maintaining, updating, and managing department files, to include reviewing for accuracy and making adjustments to data as required.

*Creating documents for the Director’s signature and reviewing documents prepared by others before submitting to the Director.

*Proof-reading and editing sensitive materials.

*Receiving various reports, plans and applications, and reviewing them for completeness and accuracy.

*Acting as a liaison for outside agencies, communicating with professionals, officials, and other executive level entities in gathering and relaying information as needed.

*Replying to comments/complaints received through the website.

*Advising and assisting other support staff as needed, and serving as an alternate in preparing payroll for departmental staff.

*Performing other related duties, as assigned.


You Are: 

*able to type a minimum of 35 words per minute.

*Able to meet work schedule and attendance standards.

*Able to communicate effectively

*Able to multi-task

*Able to complete tasks efficiently


*Computer savvy 



You Have:            

*High School Diploma or GED

*2 years of progressively responsible office experience, to include keyboard skills and a broad knowledge of office equipment, preferably at an executive level.

*Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

*A valid drivers license.


Work Schedule and Compensation:

*Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

*This position is full-time and pays $15.00 - $17.50 per hour, depending on experience.


Assignment Type:

*This assignment is considered “Contract” and will be a long-term assignment. The end date will be determined by the client.
