A manufacturing company in Pensacola is in need of a Full-time Buyer to join their team. The position will implement, coordinate, administer, and manage all activities related to purchasing in support of our customer supply chain programs. This position will plan, develop, and maintain material availability, monitor supply and supplier progress, and produce necessary services and materials to meet customer dates and requirements. *Reviewing supplier performances in regard to product/service quality, on-time delivery, serviceability and price
*Creating purchase order packages including prints, drawings, designs, models, inspection criteria and other documentation
*Ensuring necessary inventory levels required to meet both the customer and company goals.
*Reporting concerns and shortages
*Placing purchase orders with suppliers for goods/services need to meet delivery schedules and needs as required
*Functioning as the key communication interface between the supplier, transportation, warehouse, account management, and quality
*Effective communicator with strong written and oral communication skills
*Self-starter and work well under pressure
* A problem solver
*A team player
*High School Diploma or College degree in logistics or related field .
*Knowledge of ERP/MRP Systems
*The ability to work in a fast paced work environment
Compensation and Schedule:
*This position is full-time and pays $18-22/hr depending on experience.
*40 hours a week
This assignment is considered Contract-to-Direct, meaning you will remain on Landrum’s payroll for at least 15 weeks. Once the 15 weeks is over, your employer can elect to bring you onto their payroll or extend the assignment out longer through Landrum.
