*Transcribing, summarizing documents;
*Under general supervision, performing clerical secretarial duties utilizing legal terms
*Preparing legal documents and correspondence in proper legal format.
*Preparing rough drafts of correspondence from verbal instructions and/or own initiation.
*Using transcribing equipment for dictation.
*Managing numerous tracking/diary systems and calendars including Microsoft Outlook.
*Preparing and processing mail to clients and attorneys.
*Finalizing and electronically filing documents in various State and Federal Courts.
*Scheduling of depositions, hearings, and attorney meetings.
*Organizing and maintaining documents and case file.
*Strong Telephone Skills Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
*Running errands if necessary.
*Maintaining mail log for incoming mail.
*Scanning incoming mail/documents.
*Willing to learn WordPerfect, Adobe and various other programs.
*Reliable and dependable
*A team player
*Legal experience preferred but not required
*Previous office experience required
*Microsoft Office Suite
*Strong communication skills
Compensation and Schedule:
*This position is temporary, full-time and pays $14/hour
*Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm
*This assignment is considered Contract and is determined by the client’s needs.
